These postcard paintings are as a result of quick studies en plein air or at the end of the day when I have some paint left over and I have finished what I was working on all day, but don’t want to stop! This piece is inspired by that time of day when the light has almost gone but there is an amazing sunset and the whole sky looks as if it is on fire.
