These postcard paintings are as a result of quick studies en plein air or at the end of the day when I have some paint left over and I have finished what I was working on all day, but don’t want to stop! I grew up in the Fenland of Lincolnshire where there are lots of ditches and dykes to drain the fields into the Wash.
